Whitewater Kayak
Intro
Introduction to Kayaking introduces the novice to paddling a kayak in calm sheltered water. Rescue techniques at this level incorporate the use of a paddling partner and it is essential for all Introduction to Kayaking certified paddlers to travel on the water with others who have been trained in the techniques of assisted rescues.

Beginner River Kayak
The Beginner River Kayaking skill level is designed to introduce the novice or relatively inexperienced kayaker to paddling Class I Rivers. The emphasis is on mastering the fundamentals of river kayaking,along with a strong grounding in water safety and safe kayaking practices.
There are no kayaking prerequisites for the Beginner River Kayaking level. Paddlers may choose to take the Sea Kayaking “Introduction to Kayaking” or "Intro Whitewater Kayak" 8 hour fundamentals course as groundwork if desired but it is not necessary or expected.

Duration: 2 days

Dates:  April 21-22, 2012 (Day 1 on Lily Lake, Day 2 on a Class 1-2 River with an option to portage around major rapids)

              April 28-29, 2012 (Day 1 on Lily Lake, Day 2 on a Class 1-2 River with an option to portage around major rapids)

Cost: $125/person not including equipment/$150 with Kayak/Skirt/Paddle  + HST 

Canoe Kayak Canada - Leader 2/ Instructor 2
The new standard in becoming a whitewater kayak instructor in Canada, is now coming to New Brunswick. Learn to become an instructor capable of teaching on class 1-2 whitewater. This course will teach the fundamentals of running a safe river trip and teaching a whitewater kayak course. Participants will be teaching a real course to real participants and leading on a river kayak trip.

Duration: 4.5 days

Dates:  April 18th evening, April 19-22, 2012.

Prerequisites: Solid Class 3 Paddler, 18-years of age

Cost: $300/person
