Stand-Up Paddleboard
Learn to Stand-Up Paddleboard, otherwise known as SUP. SUP is one of the fastest growing outdoor sports. Come join us on these fun courses and learn to paddle safely. You can SUP on flatwater lakes, rivers and ocean surf using a wide stable surf board and an extra long canoe paddle.
You can take our 3-hour evening classes or combine them for the 1-day Combo Course.
SUP Intro $75 + HST
Our SUP Intro class is for those who have never been on a Stand Up board before.
Expected Outcome: You will leave the “SUP Intro” class with the necessary knowledge to SUP on calm water (lakes and estuaries), whether for fun or fitness training. You will receive your Paddle Canada “Introduction to SUP” Skills certificate.
We teach: How to load and transport a SUP, applicable Coast Guard regulations, understanding the equipment, water knowledge, balance and paddling techniques.
Prerequisite: None.

Date: Courses will be posted in May. Courses will be taught at Lily Lake (Saint John), Fredericton, Shediac, and Bathurst in 2012!!
SUP Advanced $75+ HST
In the SUP Advanced class builds on the skills you gained in our SUP Intro course. You will learn the paddling skills needed to paddle inland waterways with more challenging conditions such as wind and waves and more advanced paddleboard skills.
Expected Outcome: You will leave the “SUP Advanced” class with the confidence to paddle inland waters in a variety of real-life conditions. You will receive your Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP Skills certificate.
We teach: Pivot turns, wave surfing, paddling upwind and downwind, edging and bracing, while we also improve your existing strokes. You will leave the SUP Advanced class with the confidence to paddle inland waters in a variety of real-life conditions. Prerequisite: SUP Intro! or equivalent.

SUP Flatwater Combo $135 + HST
The SUP Flatwater Combo combines all the content of SUP Intro and SUP Advanced into one convenient course. Learn everything you need to know to Stand Up Paddleboard on lakes big and small.
Expected Outcome: You will have the skills and confidence to paddle your board on easy rivers like the Saint John, and many others! You will receive your Paddle Canada SUP River Level 1 Skills certificate.
